Q: Where can I view the speaker/ music schedule?

A: There will be signs at each stage or you can look them up on our digital Event Program!

Q: Where can I view the event program?

A: Visit vegfestcalgary.com/eventprogram! There is also a link in our Instagram bio!

Q: When/ where can I ask my questions to the speakers?

A: There will be a short 7 minute Q+A with the speakers after each talk. There will be another opportunity for Q+A after the Speaker Panel at 5:15pm. You can also find Camille (Animal Justice) and Lauren (Food Empowerment Project) at their booths located in our non-profit area throughout the day.

Q: Can I bring my dog to VegFest?

A: VegFest is entirely dog friendly including the beer gardens! Make sure you stop by the doggie chill zone at the Calgary Humane Society booth (non-profit area).

Q: Is the beer garden all ages?

A: Yes it is! That said all attendees* in the gardens must wear a wristband. Except children under waist height.

Q: Is VegFest Calgary wheelchair accessible?

A: Yes, wheelchair accessible portable toilets are located throughout the park. There are also some permanent washrooms with a barrier free stall under the landmark building next to the skate park. Refer to festival map for exact locations (festival map can be viewed at the front entrances and in the digital event program).

Q: Does VegFest have sign language interpreters for talks!

A: Yes! Thanks to our friends at Deaf & Hear Alberta, we will have ASL interpreters for all talks given at VegFest this year!

Q: How much is admission?

A: Admission is by optional cash donation but there are some incredible incentives for donations of $15 or more!

Q: What are the donation incentives?

A: Incentive are: Calgary Goes Vegan Tote, VegFest Cinch Pack, and/or entrance into our big door prizes!

Q: When will the door prizes be announced?

A: Door prizes will be announced on the beer garden stage at VFC before the last act at 7:00 pm, on our website, and social media channels. The winner must email hello@vegfestcalgary.com to redeem their prize by June 22 or another ticket will be drawn!

Q: Where do I drop off my food donation?

A: VegFest does NOT accept food donations. Due to the extensive amount of set up and take down involved, we ask that you donate these items yourself. Cash donations however are greatly appreciated.

Q: Where does the money go?

A: It all gets funneled back into creating next year’s event. VegFest Calgary is an incorporated non-profit society and 100% volunteer run.

Q: Can I enter the door prize more than once?

A: Unfortunately that would be considered a raffle and VegFest Calgary does not currently have hold that license with Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission (AGLC); there is only one entry per donation regardless of amount

Q: Is the event cash only?

A: Most vendors will take both cash and card. VegFest will have two ATM’s. Beer gardens and donation booths will be equipped with credit and debit tap readers.
